INGREDIENTS

  • 75g Bewley's Kenya ground coffee
  • 600ml of cold or room temperature water
  • Cold water (ideally filtered)
  • French press

PREPARATION

Method

  • Combine Coffee and Water: Place the coarsely ground coffee into your French press. Pour 600ml of cold or room temperature water over the coffee grounds.
  • Stir the Mixture: Stir the coffee and water mixture gently to ensure all the grounds are fully saturated.
  • Steep: Place the lid on the French press but do not press down the plunger. Let the coffee steep at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours.
  • Press and Filter: After steeping, press down the plunger to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid. For a smoother cold brew, you can filter the coffee through a coffee filter or a fine mesh strainer.

Serve

  • Pour the cold brew concentrate over ice and dilute with water or milk to taste. Store any remaining cold brew in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
