PARTICIPATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These competitions are organised by Fairtrade Ireland. The games are not linked to social media and are not sponsored, supported or organised by them.
- By taking part in the competitions, the participant accepts these terms and conditions of participation including any amendments made by Fairtrade Ireland.
- The competitions run between 01.02.2025 to 28.02.2025.
- Participation in the competitions are free of charge and without any obligation to purchase or use a paid service. Any natural person over the age of 18 years of age and residing in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland is entitled to participate. Employees of Fairtrade Ireland, participating companies, and their families are not eligible to participate in the competitions.
- Each participant may only participate in his/her own name. The right to a prize is not transferable in principle.
- Participation is via the Internet at www.fairbruary.ie. In order to participate in the competitions, participants must provide their surname, first name, address, age, a valid e-mail address and telephone number. Participants agree that their data may be used by Fairtrade Ireland for marketing purposes and that Fairtrade Ireland may send information about Fairtrade to the e-mail address provided. Participants may at any time decline in writing to have their customer data used for marketing purposes. Participants consent to the publication of their name, age and place of residence on the internet (Fairtrade Ireland websites and social media) in the event of winning.
The participants expressly agree to the transmission of their personal data to the participating companies for the purpose of delivery of the prize.
Participants may only register and participate once in each competition. Multiple entries will be automatically deleted by the organizer and will not be included in the draw. Participants can only win one prize. - Fairtrade Ireland reserves the right to exchange the various prizes announced at any time and to replace them with other prizes of equal value. In addition, Fairtrade Ireland has the right to interrupt or terminate the competitions without prior notice and without having to justify itself.
- Fairtrade Ireland expressly reserves the right to exclude all participants who do not comply with the conditions of participation. In particular, persons who give false information about themselves or who seek to obtain undue advantages by unlawful means, manipulation, etc. will be excluded from the competitions. In such a case, Fairtrade Ireland reserves the right to withdraw and subsequently demand reimbursement of the winnings.
- The winners will be drawn from submissions deemed to be correct By Fairtrade Ireland after the closing date for entries, and will be notified by Fairtrade Ireland.
- Correspondence and notification of winnings: No correspondence will be entered into regarding the competitions. Winners will be notified by email or, if necessary, by telephone. If a winner cannot be contacted in a timely fashion or due to incomplete or inaccurate information, their right to the prize will lapse.
- If delivery of the prize is not possible or not possible under reasonable circumstances, Fairtrade Ireland will, if possible, replace the prize with one of equivalent value. The winner has no claim to a cash payment.
- Photo and video support: Fairtrade Ireland is entitled to use photographs and videos relating to competition winners. In addition, Fairtrade Ireland is entitled to use these photos and videos for all further communication measures in connection with these competitions with Fairtrade Ireland. This includes the reproduction and display of the content on the website and the respective social networks. By taking part, participants agree that the rights to the photos/videos produced are transferred to Fairtrade Ireland free of charge and without restriction.
- Fairtrade Ireland assumes no responsibility for any damage suffered by a participant as a result of accepting or using the winning prize.
- Legal recourse, cash payments or prize exchanges are excluded in these terms and conditions.
- Applicable law: The conditions of participation and the competition are governed exclusively by laws operating in the Republic of Ireland.
- Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions of participation be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
- Amendment of the conditions of participation: these conditions of participation may be amended at any time by Fairtrade Ireland without notification.
